There are three lakes in the LCPOA community: Lake Caroline, Ladysmith Lake and Madison Lake.
Lake Caroline is a beautiful, multi-activity water body including swimming, boating, fishing and water skiing. It has two sand beaches for swimming.
The main beach is located at the Lodge area and has covered picnic pavilions, swim platform, children's playground and rest rooms.
The area has day-use dock access.
Little Beach is located on the opposite side of the lake and includes a large covered pavilion, swim platform, children's playground and restrooms.
This beach also has a boat launch area.
Has your outdoor picnic or party outgrown your yard? Why not reserve the pavilion and grill at Little Beach! Contact the office for more information. Fees apply. Reservation Form
Boating
All boats and watercraft must be registered annually (by May 1) and display a current LCPOA decal. There are restrictions on the size of watercraft, so please read your regulations.
Virginia Water Craft Regulations and laws apply to all craft operated on Lake Caroline. The speed limit on the lake is 36 MPH. Water craft must stay outside the buoy markers located off the shore line. Boats must travel in a counter-clockwise direction around the lake. You must obey all NO WAKE zones posted around the lake.
Personal Watercraft: There are new educational requirements for personal watercraft. Check them out! Click Here
There are two boat launch areas on Lake Caroline. The Marina boat launch is located at the east end of the lake near the dam. The Little Beach boat launch is on the southwest side of the lake. Both areas have day-use docks.
Fishing
Anglers are subject to compliance with all Virginia fishing laws and license requirements. Licenses are available from various locations and online from the Virginia Dept. of Game and Inland Fisheries. Children under 16 years of age are exempt. Residents over the age of 65 can purchase a lifetime license for $15.00 by completing the available form from www.dgif.virginia.gov and mailing it or delivering it in person to their Richmond Office.
Artificial fish habitats have been installed in several locations in the lake. Members are reminded to attend to their fishing lines at all times. Please use common courtesy when you fish from the public docks, and ALWAYS employ safe fishing practices.
